Privacy Guarantee: Your essential data (recordings, transcripts, and personal information) is NEVER shared with third parties. It is stored securely and used only to provide you with personalized coaching.
1.2 Optional Anonymized Data (With Your Consent)
With your explicit consent, we may collect anonymized performance metrics for improving our AI:
- Performance Scores: Numerical scores for clarity, coherence, confidence, and other metrics
- Behavioral Patterns: Speech rate, pause frequency, filler word counts (aggregated)
- Improvement Trends: Progress over time, session counts
- Optional Demographics: Age range, region, experience level (if you choose to provide)
What We DON'T Include: No transcripts, no audio recordings, no names, no emails, no personally identifiable information. Your identity is protected with cryptographic hashing (SHA-256) that cannot be reversed.
1.3 Usage Analytics (Optional)
With your consent, we collect anonymized usage analytics:
- Which features you use most
- Navigation patterns within the app
- Error reports and crash data
- Device and browser information

- Firestore security rules enforcing access control

- Essential Data: Retained as long as your account is active
- Anonymized Data: Retained indefinitely (cannot be traced back to you)
- Deleted Accounts: All personal data deleted within 30 days of account deletion

You can view all your data in the app Settings and request a complete copy.
5.2 Rectify Your Data
You can update your profile information at any time in Settings.
5.3 Delete Your Data
You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete My Account.
5.4 Export Your Data
You can download all your data in JSON format from Settings → Privacy & Data → Download My Data.
5.5 Withdraw Consent
You can change your privacy preferences at any time in Settings → Privacy & Data. Changes take effect immediately.
5.6 Object to Processing
You can opt out of anonymized data collection and analytics at any time.
5.7 Data Portability
Your exported data is in a machine-readable format (JSON) that you can import into other services.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
6.1 We Do NOT Share Your Personal Data
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information (recordings, transcripts, name, email) with any third parties.
6.2 Service Providers
We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Google Cloud Platform: Hosting and database services
- Google AI (Gemini): Speech analysis and coaching feedback
- Firebase Authentication: Account management
All service providers are bound by strict data processing agreements and GDPR compliance.
6.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your data if required by law, court order, or government regulation.
7. Cookies and Tracking
Qonvo uses minimal cookies:
- Authentication Cookies: To keep you logged in (essential)
- Preference Cookies: To remember your settings (essential)
- Analytics Cookies: Only if you opt in to analytics
You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
8. Children's Privacy
Qonvo is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we discover that we have collected data from a child, we will delete it immediately.
